Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time dishwashing associate. The role involves cleaning dishes, maintaining the dish station, and supporting food service operations in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must hold a Food Handler Certificate before day 1 and demonstrate fluent English communication. The position offers a flexible part-time schedule and competitive store-level benefits.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to service line and other proper storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish-washing station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, he/she is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
