Job summary

Southside Market & BBQ in Texas is seeking part-time kitchen helpers to support the dishwashing area. You will sort, wash, and stock dishes, pots, and utensils, helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requires a Food Handler Certificate before day 1, fluency in English, and basic math for measurements. You may lift up to 40 pounds; the role features flexible part-time schedules and employee-focused benefits.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required before day 1.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to the service line and other proper storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish-washing station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
