Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery efforts in the United States.

The role involves developing accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency and permanent work, with responsibilities spanning scoping, damage assessment, and documentation for audit readiness. This on-call cadre position may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimation for disaster recovery projects.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, drainage and parks.
• Develop defensible estimate documentation suitable for audit and program review.
• Support program delivery with technical estimating expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
