Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Cost Estimator to support the Disaster Recovery Cadre in FEMA Public Assistance and related programs across the United States. The role involves developing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, with duties spanning scoping, damage assessment, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates.
• Review plans, quantities, unit costs, and estimating methods for accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff to define eligible work.
• Maintain documentation suitable for audit and program review.
