Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support the Disaster Recovery Cadre, delivering accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work under FEMA Public Assistance and other programs. Roles may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements.

Responsibilities include scoping damages, preparing bottom-up estimates, and ensuring documentation is clear and defensible for audits and program reviews.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Ability to travel as needed for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs with cost estimating.
• Develop and validate project scopes and cost estimates.
• Review technical reports, proposals, and cost documentation.
• Prepare cost analyses for infrastructure, facilities, and public works.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain records per requirements.
