Job summary

Tetra Tech's Disaster Recovery Cadre is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project staff.

This is an on-call, as-needed role with assignments that may be remote, field-based, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related discipline.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiar with modern construction practices, site assessments, and project scope development.
• Ability to travel as needed and work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through cost estimating activities.
• Prepare and validate scope, quantities, costs, and documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Review engineering reports, plans, and contractor cost documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and field staff to ensure eligible work.
