Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work, validating scopes and funding eligibility while supporting multiple project types across the United States.

This on-call cadre role may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, grant professionals, and clients to ensure

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional cost estimating experience in construction, engineering, or related fields.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, project scope development, and inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimation for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Review proposals and cost documentation to ensure defensible estimates and audit readiness.
