Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency, and permanent work, evaluating damaged facilities and assisting with scope validation and funding determinations.

This on-call, as-needed role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in cost estimating, engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual to detailed cost estimates for infrastructure/facility projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, scope development, and inspections.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions costs.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Support FEMA Cost Estimating Format analyses when required.
• Maintain clear, defensible estimate documentation for audits.
