Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator for its Disaster Recovery Cadre to support FEMA Public Assistance and related programs. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent projects, including scopes, unit costs, and documentation for audits.

This on-call, potentially remote/field-based role offers opportunities to contribute to nationwide disaster recovery efforts and collaborate with engineers, program staff, and clients in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scopes.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through cost estimating.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and more.
• Maintain clear, defensible estimate documentation for audits and reviews.
