Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to ensure collaboration with Volunteer Services, mobilize partners, and assess readiness resources across the region. You will engage volunteers to prepare communities for disasters and coordinate outreach with diverse organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• A current valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team delivering disaster cycle services across the assigned geographic area.
• Implement disaster cycle services activities within the region or assigned geography.
• Develop and support disaster leadership volunteers and partner organizations to meet readiness, response, and recovery needs.
