Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead disaster-cycle services with volunteer teams, engage partners, and mobilize communities for readiness, response and recovery.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 5+ years in volunteer management, and a valid driver's license. Travel and deployments are part of the role; relocation is not offered. Base location in Maine with a 90-minute residency requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a diverse volunteer team implementing disaster cycle services across the assigned area.
• Coordinate disaster cycle services activities within the region or area.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers to meet responsibilities in readiness, response and recovery.
