Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA General Medicine exams and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines.

You will review medical history, conduct comprehensive physicals, document findings, and prepare precise medical reports while ensuring HIPAA compliance and state/federal regulations. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to veterans' benefits evaluations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
