Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified NP or PA to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive physicals, and prepare detailed medical reports while ensuring HIPAA and state/federal compliance.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT, PT, or PRN) with no on-call duties and the possibility to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to meet timely

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician (where required by state law).
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and documentation prior to evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
