Job summary

ServiceSource is seeking an Employment Development Specialist to support Richmond and Anson Counties, helping individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment through job coaching, career support, and community partnerships.

The EDS will work with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, manage a caseload of 20-25, and help clients access Long Term Vocational Support funding while ensuring compliance with Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA and VR audits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities is required.
• Qualified Professional or Associate Professional in Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred.
• ASL or Sign Language degree/certification preferred.
• CESP or CIPS credential preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of 20-25 individuals through intake, placement, training, stabilization and closure.
• Access Long Term Vocational Support funding for clients post-closure through VR alliances.
• Maintain familiarity with Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, VR audits and AbilityOne requirements.
• Perform supervisory actions in VR BEAM; track referrals, milestones and billing.
• Meet weekly with Employment Specialist(s) to plan weekly job coaching activities.
• Conduct quarterly surveys with employers, employees and families for service feedback.
