Job summary

ServiceSource is seeking an Employment Development Specialist to provide Supported Employment and related services for individuals with disabilities in the community and on AbilityOne sites. You will collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to achieve successful job placements and mentor other Employment Specialists as the primary VR contact for referrals.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities required.
• Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field preferred.
• American Sign Language or Sign Language Interpretation degree or certification preferred.
• Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) or Certified Individual Placement Support (CIPS) credential preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver license and reliable transportation for work-related travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of 20-25 individuals through intake, development/placement, and closure milestones.
• Access Long Term Vocational Support funding for individuals post-VR closure through Alliance Health.
• Maintain familiarity with Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, VR audits, and AbilityOne requirements.
• Operate VR BEAM billing system to track referrals, milestone documentation, and revenue.
• Attend weekly meetings with Employment Specialists to plan weekly job coaching activities.
