Prudential Financial is seeking a Disability Claims Specialist to join the Long-Term Disability Core Team. You will act as a technical expert for complex claim evaluation, provide guidance, and coach claim professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Your role balances technical insight with hands-on ownership among the assigned claims. You will interpret policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations, and benefit eligibility while collaborating with the Team Lead to prioritize

Qualifications

• 3+ years in long-term disability claim management.
• Advanced knowledge of LTD policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations, benefit calculations.
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Proven coaching of claim professionals with actionable feedback.
• Ability to interpret claim data, inventory indicators, and activity trends to identify risks.
• Ability to adapt technical support and priorities to changing team needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability expert to Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, claim strategy, benefit eligibility.
• Coach claim professionals through complex scenarios to strengthen critical thinking.
• Provide timely feedback to improve execution and decisions.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Monitor claim block health with Team Lead by analyzing inventory and indicators.
• Support development and delivery of technical training and knowledge sharing.
• Consult on high-risk or technically complex claims with policy-aligned approaches.
• Support additional priorities as business needs evolve.
