Job summary

HDR in the United States (Nebraska - Omaha primary location) seeks a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to lead technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the matrix.

You will align technical groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, mentor future leaders, and drive risk management, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives to keep HDR at the forefront of the global architecture marketplace.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing technical teams and practices.
• Experience leading professional services, program and project delivery, and owner’s advisor or alternative delivery.
• Proven ability to mentor diverse technical and professional teams.
• Active participation in AEC industry associations and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development and training in technical, professional, and service delivery competencies.
• Direct the evaluation and adoption of professional services technologies and digital delivery tools.
• Oversee QA/QC program activities and ensure delivery quality.
• Coordinate staff training on policies, risk management, safety, and ethics.
• Drive continuous improvement and alignment of delivery strategies across groups.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and development of key personnel within the group.
