Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery, and professional practice. You will align technical groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards and best practices to improve client outcomes.

The role partners with operations, market sectors, and technical leaders to drive continuous improvement, develop future leaders, and position HDR as a leader in the global architecture

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams and practices.
• Maintaining AEC industry associations.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of business group staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies and digital delivery methods for the group.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of professional services technologies and delivery tools.
• Coordinate staff training on company policies and processes.
• Lead continuous improvement through technical standards and best practices.
• Support practice groups, project teams, and company initiatives related to productivity and delivery effectiveness.
• Partner with project delivery services and alternative delivery programs.
• Lead QA/QC program activities to ensure quality and delivery requirements.
• Monitor QC review activities and resolve project issues.
• Facilitate use of Professional Associates in delivery, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Support recruiting, staffing, workload balancing, and engagement with professional associations.
