Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director who will provide executive leadership for technical quality and project delivery. This role aligns technical practice, strengthens delivery capabilities, and advances standards across the matrix organization.

You will partner with operations, market sectors, and leaders to drive professional communities, develop future leaders, and position HDR as a leader in the global architecture marketplace.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing technical teams and practices.
• Maintain AEC industry associations.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new or developing technologies and delivery methods.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of professional services technologies and digital delivery tools.
• Coordinate staff training in company policies and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through QA/QC and standardization.
• Support groups and initiatives for productivity and delivery.
• Collaborate with delivery services and program management teams.
• Lead technical strategies for strategic initiatives and complex programs.
• Oversee QA/QC activities and issue resolution.
• Coordinate use of Professional Associates in delivery, mentoring, and training.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and staff development.
• Foster cross-group collaboration to advance delivery strategies.
