Job summary

Astranis is seeking a National Security Capacity Sales Director to lead COMSATCOM expansion across USG markets. You will own capture, provide strategic guidance, and coordinate with engineering, legal, and program teams to win DoD/DHS/DOS opportunities.

The role requires 7+ years in SATCOM sales, deep US government acquisition knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 60%. US Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering, hard sciences, business, or national security studies.
• 7+ years in SATCOM sales, business development, or DoD/USG roles.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for briefings to senior leaders.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
• US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and capture COMSATCOM sales opportunities across DoD, DHS, DOS.
• Build trusted relationships with USG program managers and acquisition authorities.
• Map capabilities to warfighter and agency needs; lead RFI responses and white papers.
• Engage with CCMDs, services, and specialized communities to identify user needs.
• Develop win strategies; serve as capture manager or proposal lead with cross‑functional teams.
• Track budget cycles and procurement vehicles; monitor competitors for positioning.
• Coordinate with commercial sales to align offerings with USG efforts.
