Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies is seeking a National Security Capacity Sales Director to drive the expansion of our commercial SATCOM capacity across USG markets. You will lead development, capture, and sales execution for DoD, DHS, and DOS, bridging mission needs with Astranis’s breakthrough MicroGEO satellite solutions.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 7+ years in SATCOM sales/BD within the USG, and the ability to travel up to 60%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering, hard sciences, business, or national security studies.
• 7+ years of SATCOM sales, SATCOM business development, or SATCOM operational roles within USG/defense sector.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to brief senior officers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and capture COMSATCOM opportunities across DoD, DHS, DOS, and interagency partners.
• Build trusted relationships with USG program managers and acquisition authorities.
• Map Astranis capabilities to warfighter and agency needs; shape requirements and lead RFI responses.
• Engage with CCMDs, services, and special communities to map user needs and decision hierarchies.
• Develop win strategies and assist capture activities; may lead proposals with cross-functional teams.
• Track budget cycles and procurement processes; monitor competitors to position offerings.
