Job summary

Serco Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a high-impact Director, Business Operations to lead cradle-to-grave acquisition efforts for Undersea Warfare programs.

You will manage technical innovation, contracting strategy, and lifecycle sustainment, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping mission outcomes. The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, US citizenship, and 10+ years of defense program leadership.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field as listed.
• 10 years of progressively responsible leadership in defense/complex government programs.
• Experience managing large-scale government contracts or initiatives.
• Ability to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior government and industry stakeholders on program execution and strategic priorities.
• Support senior-level customer engagement activities and maintain relationships across the Undersea Warfare Enterprise.
• Conduct independent assessments of program execution, schedule performance, and readiness.
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities; provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate program performance metrics and support informed decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate operational processes and governance frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Support complex government contracts and strategic initiatives.
• Promote collaboration across government, industry, and internal organizations.
• Provide expertise on defense industrial base capabilities, supply chain considerations, and acquisition strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices relevant to Navy programs.
