Direct employees and activities in the Trans./Safety Training Units. These duties include directing and evaluating the performance of Trans. Instructors/Div. Safety Supt's: curriculum development; evaluation of probationary employees; development of new training initiatives; and provide training and direction to the Division Training Supervisors. Plan, develop,Implementand manage all DOB regulations mandated under NYS Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law, Section 19-Aand the Federal Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act (CDL). Develop the policies/procedures necessary for ensuring NYCT's compliance with these regulations. Develop and manage the Performance Evaluation Program to evaluate and improve the safety of all B/Os. Develop and implement probationary review programs. Provide training to MTA Bridges & Tunnels.
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment. All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment and education. Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.
