This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Railroad in compliance with established procedures and the Book of Rules. The incumbent will assist in providing training across various crafts and must be available to respond to emergency situations at any time, requiring 24/7 availability. The role includes conducting disciplinary proceedings in accordance with the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreements, as well as interpreting and applying provisions of multiple labor agreements. The incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with the public and outside agencies.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Transportation Management or a satisfactory equivalent , and five ( 5 ) years of full-time related experience, of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
