Description
Position Overview: Diamond Baseball Holdings is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented sales professional to build the ticketing strategy from the ground up, aiming to surpass short-term and long-term revenue, attendance, and retention goals. The Director, Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, recruit, hire, train, and lead a sales team to exceed organizational sales goals
- Actively sell and maintain a healthy book of ticket sales business
- Develop, implement, and execute short-term and long-term ticket sales strategies
- Evaluate daily sales activities, providing regular feedback, training, coaching, and leadership during weekly reviews
- Guide team members through the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting solutions, and hosting meetings
- Measure effectiveness of sales campaigns and recommend improvements
- Cultivate community relationships to encourage ticket sales and build pipelines
- Use client feedback to improve offerings and communication
- Represent the organization at community events and develop key relationships and partnerships
- Stay informed about industry trends and provide insights for sales portfolio improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, or related field
- 4+ years in ticket sales or B2B/B2C sales
- 2+ years of sales leadership experience
- Experience with Tickets.com preferred
- Sales-minded and leadership professional
- Proven ability to build, develop, and retain staff
- Team above self mentality
- High personal accountability
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to cultivate relationships within and outside the organization
- Creative, willing to take calculated risks, and strive for organizational growth
