The Director, Technical & Sales Support Engineeris is responsible for leading and coordinating all national and regional technical functions that support commercial activity within the US and Canada, including project support, field operations, and pre-sales engineering. This role ensures North America region technical consistency, operational excellence and product alignment with both corporate technical and commercial strategies, while also overseeing the career development and daily performance of technical and support teams within the region.

Responsibilities and objectives:

  • Coordinate and oversee all technical and sales support resources within the region both internal as well as external partners to ensure high performance, standardization, and efficient resource use
  • Supervise project implementation and commissioning activities to deliver projects on time, to quality standards, with high customer satisfaction
  • Lead the pre-sales engineering team to ensure accurate and competitive project documentation and support
  • Align local strategies with CLIPS and Sales HQ guidelines to maintain process consistency and incorporate best practices.
  • Define and optimize technical and product procedures, workflows, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and scalability
  • Work closely with the Technical Marketing Manager to support creation of technical and product support documents, internal and external product marketing pieces.
  • Manage performance reviews and development plans to build a strong and motivated support team
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement to ensure performance objectives are met
  • Act as senior technical contact in the region to provide high-level support to clients and internal stakeholders. Will require occasional travel to customer site and industry events.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure project fluidity and internal communication

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Automation, or equivalent
  • Experience between 6 to 8 years in technical support/project roles
  • Minimum 3 years leading multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Strong leadership and team coordination
  • In-depth technical knowledge (KNX, automation, HVAC, lighting)
  • Strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional management. Fluent in the English language.
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid US drivers license with limited violations.
