Role Overview

The Director, Technical & Sales Support Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating all technical functions supporting commercial activities within the US and Canada. This includes project support, field operations, and pre-sales engineering. The role ensures technical consistency, operational excellence, and product alignment with corporate strategies, while overseeing team development and performance.

Responsibilities and Objectives
  • Coordinate and oversee technical and sales support resources within the region, ensuring high performance and standardization.
  • Supervise project implementation and commissioning to deliver quality projects on time, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the pre-sales engineering team for accurate project documentation and support.
  • Align local strategies with corporate guidelines to maintain process consistency and incorporate best practices.
  • Define and optimize technical procedures, workflows, and tools for operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Marketing Manager to create technical documents and marketing materials.
  • Manage performance reviews and development plans for the support team.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet performance objectives.
  • Act as a senior technical contact, providing high-level support to clients and internal stakeholders, with occasional travel.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration for project fluidity and communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of experience in technical support or project roles.
  • At least 3 years leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of KNX, automation, HVAC, lighting.
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution skills.
  • Excellent communication and management skills; fluent in English.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be 21+ years old with a valid US driver’s license and limited violations.
