Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled iSeries/AS400 developer to join our support team. The role involves production support, maintenance of the IBMi environment, and participation in modernization/enhancement projects. This position is remote-friendly.

Responsibilities

1. Perform analysis and configure solutions specific to projects.
2. Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and high-complexity solutions following company standards.
3. Develop monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for production applications.
4. Maintain security controls and monitor compliance.
5. Resolve complex technical and operational issues.
6. Mentor less experienced team members and oversee small team activities.
7. Document code and configuration changes, incident tickets, and fixes.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4-7 years of experience or equivalent education and training.
• Deep knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
• Understanding of business processes and strategic IT implementation.
• Project management and complex problem-solving skills.
• Leadership abilities and experience mentoring others.

Preferred

• Experience with IBM platform software (AS/400, iSeries, System i).
• Proficiency in RPG400, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL400, COBOL ILE, CLLE, DB2/400, SQL/400, Oracle.
• Experience in production support, batch job management, and critical issue resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, and defect resolution skills.

Work Conditions

• Sitting, standing, walking, and manual dexterity as per detailed percentages.
• Availability for scheduled hours, including overtime.
• Minimal travel required (up to 10%).
