Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Director, Business Development – Technology Alliances Manager to lead partnerships across the cybersecurity and cloud ecosystem from Topeka, KS. You will manage ISV and cloud partner relationships, drive technical integrations, and shape go-to-market motions with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.

You will develop joint solution briefs, enable field alignment, and support marketplace listings and co-sell programs with major cloud providers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in technology alliances, partnerships, sales or related roles.
• Hands-on exposure to building or supporting technical integrations (APIs, SDKs).
• Technical aptitude in cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
• Familiar with Zero Trust, IAM, and EDR ecosystems.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 3-5 years of experience in a technology alliances / partnerships, business development, sales or solutions engineering, product management, or technical program management role
• Have hands-on exposure to building or supporting technical integrations (e.g., REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs).
• Possess technical aptitude and curiosity: the ability to understand cybersecurity and cloud technologies, grasp integration(APIs, telemetry, policy enforcement), and translating into clear customer use cases.
• Be familiar with modern security ecosystems including Zero Trust, IAM , and EDR
• Have experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams
