Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. in Middleton, MA is seeking a Director of Operations & Sustainable Resource Development to lead regional quarrying, aggregate processing, and recycling sites with a focus on safety, efficiency and environmental stewardship.

This role drives long-term reserves and mine planning, capital project execution, cost-per-ton optimization, and strategic growth, while mentoring regional managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred for senior leadership roles.
• Minimum 10-15+ years of progressive operational leadership in heavy construction materials or quarrying.
• Strong knowledge of safety laws, environmental permitting, and capital project management.

Responsibilities

• Direct multi-site P&L, budgets and CapEx to maximize throughput and margin.
• Lead safety culture, ensure MSHA/OSHA compliance and risk assessments.
• Oversee exploration, geological modeling, reserve estimation and long-term plans.
• Drive environmental sustainability initiatives including permitting and reclamation.
• Develop ROI cases for major investments and coordinate with sales/logistics.
• Mentor regional management, plant managers and engineers.
