Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Plant Manager (Underground) to lead mining and production of aggregates at the assigned plant, ensuring safe, efficient operations and timely fulfillment of dispatcher requests.

You will coordinate with dispatch, fleet maintenance and quality control, manage staffing and inventory, and develop strategies to raise productivity while controlling costs with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years aggregate mining and raw materials plant production experience.
• Field of study preferred: Mining Engineering, Management.
• Required technical skills include computer proficiency; SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational opportunities and develop strategies for improved efficiency and productivity.
• Balance customer needs with long-term interests of the company.
• Initiate and implement production and scheduling programs to increase productivity while controlling costs.
• Manage subordinate personnel, work independently, meet deadlines and oversee the plant with fiscal integrity.
• Delegate responsibilities and hold others accountable in a constructive manner.
• Participate in safety inspections, including MSHA inspections.
• Coordinate with dispatch, fleet maintenance and quality control; may operate as part of the crew.
• Supervise production and maintenance routines to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Maintain adequate on-site inventory to service customer needs.
