The Director, Operations and Sustainable Resource Development provides executive leadership across regional hard rock quarries, sand and gravel pits, aggregate processing operations, and recycling sites within the East and Great Lakes Region. Based at the Middleton, MA office, this role drives operational excellence, long-term reserves and mine planning, capital project execution, financial optimization (cost-per-ton and marginal contribution), and progressive environmental stewardship.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or MBA preferred), or equivalent.
Required Work Experience: 10-15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in heavy construction materials, aggregate processing, or hard rock quarrying.
Required Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of MSHA regulations, blast design, mineral processing circuits, fixed asset automation, and environmental permitting.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
