Job summary

The NYC Department of Social Services (DSS) seeks an Administrative Staff Analyst NM-II to direct the Supportive Housing Rent-Up Unit. This role will oversee housing coordinators and coordinate placement into permanent supportive housing across city agencies.

You will collaborate with the Executive Director, Assistant Deputy Commissioner, and partners to optimize protocols, monitor operations, and deliver timely, high-quality reporting to DSS leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience; or
• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of professional experience in the described areas; or
• All candidates must have high school diploma and 2 years of related experience including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight of the rent-up unit and ensure alignment with city mandates.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and Deputy Commissioner to enhance protocols for placement in permanent supportive housing.
• Prepare comprehensive statistical and analytical reports for leadership on housing placements.
• Monitor daily assignments, records, and databases to track unit progress.
• Lead staff meetings and training to improve rent-up processes and resolve operational challenges.
