Job summary

Community Access in New York City seeks an Assistant Program Director to lead and supervise the supportive housing program(s) alongside the Program Director. You will oversee staff development, service delivery, budgeting, reporting, and contract management while ensuring alignment with agency values and funder requirements.

Qualifications

  • Have an understanding, appreciation, and commitment to Community Access mission, with harm reduction and recovery-oriented services.
  • Ability to train and support staff on CA values and practice approach.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred – work experience may substitute for degree.
  • Minimum of two years working in supportive housing with history of homelessness/substance use/mental health diagnosis.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and ability to communicate program goals.
  • Ability to monitor details of program operation and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; creative and flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory oversight of the supportive housing program(s) alongside the Program Director.
  • Lead staff development, service provision, community building, contract and budget management.
  • Coordinate with facility and property management and ensure services meet funder and agency standards.
  • Maintain records, reporting, and ensure 24/7 on-call support with the Program Director.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members and organizations.
