Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC seeks a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead reliability, scalability and operability of critical production services. You will translate business priorities into measurable reliability outcomes and guide cross‑functional partnerships across Product, Software, Platform and Security teams.

You will drive SLOs/SLIs, manage risk budgets, champion automation, and maintain deep technical depth to contribute directly when needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, site reliability or related field.
• 5+ years of people leadership in engineering.
• Strong understanding of SRE concepts: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, observability, automation.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive reliability objectives with SLIs/SLOs aligned to business outcomes.
• Manage reliability risk and budgets with measurable plans and escalation.
• Lead through hands-on coding and automation to improve systems.
• Establish observability standards: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards.
• Oversee incident response, post-incident reviews and continuous improvement.
• Promote blameless learning and architectural improvements across teams.
• Ensure production readiness, resilience, capacity and efficient operation.
