Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a hands-on Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a 7-10 person team across SRE and platform engineering in a large, cloud-native environment. You will raise the bar on observability, reliability, and performance, partnering with a centralized architecture function to optimize cloud efficiency and reduce waste.

The ideal candidate will be data-driven, capable of shaping SLOs/SLAs, and skilled at coordinating across distributed teams in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering teams and cultivating high-performing cultures.
• 10+ years hands-on software engineering with AWS and large-scale systems.
• Hands-on SRE/observability leadership at scale.
• Own SLO/SLA definitions and resilience engineering practices.
• Data-driven, metrics-focused with toil reduction and cloud efficiency.
• Experience defining delivery metrics (DORA) and improving cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7-10 engineers and managers across SRE and platforms.
• Drive reliability, observability, and cloud platform engineering excellence.
• Govern SLOs/SLAs and champion chaos testing and performance validation.
• Collaborate with architecture and cross-functional teams across the US.
• Define roadmaps and priorities for observability platform capabilities.
