Job summary

Samford University is seeking a Director of Enterprise Slate Strategy to lead Slate across admissions, student success, and advancement. The role reports to the Vice President of Strategy and shapes a coordinated vision, governance, and multi-year roadmap to boost enrollment, retention, alumni engagement, and philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Experience administering or leading Technolutions Slate or comparable enterprise CRM.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of higher education operations in admissions, enrollment, or advancement.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical plans and communicate with exec, functional, and technical audiences.
• Willingness to work 5 days a week and perform routine office duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise Slate strategy and multi-year roadmap across admissions, student success, and advancement.
• Serve as institutional strategic advisor for Slate and guide investments and staffing.
• Establish and lead enterprise Slate governance and project intake processes.
• Coordinate leaders across Enrollment Management, Student Success, Advancement, IT, Analytics, Marketing, and academics.
• Support business process redesign to improve recruitment, enrollment, retention, alumni relations, and fundraising.
• Direct Slate architecture, environments, integrations, configurations, analytics, and support models.
• Partner with data owners to improve data quality, reporting, and measures of adoption.
• Oversee Slate projects, budgets, milestones, and outcomes.
• Keep current on Slate releases and translate developments for leadership.
