Job summary

Cribl is looking for a Director of Product Management for Security Products to own the next wave of Cribl's security portfolio. You will evaluate promising areas beyond Cribl Detect, build the business case, and lead funding and launches with customers from first conversations to growth.

The role requires deep security domain expertise, experience taking products from 0 to 1, and the ability to influence across engineering, marketing, and sales.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management with 5+ years building security products.
• Deep understanding of security operations (SIEM, detection engineering, incident response).
• Hands-on product experience in security areas (SOAR, ITDR/UEBA, AI or agentic security, or threat detection).
• Track record of taking a product from 0 to 1.
• Portfolio‑level thinking with market evaluation and clear recommendations.
• Leadership experience mentoring PMs and cross‑functional influence.
• Technical depth to discuss data architectures, detection logic, and AI/LLM‑based systems.
• Strong written communication for strategy docs and PRDs.
• Good judgment under uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategy for the next wave of security products—market analysis, customer discovery, competitive landscape, and prioritization.
• Build business cases for each area with market size and win strategy.
• Lead execution from product definition to delivery with engineering.
• Ensure new capabilities work natively with Cribl Detect on a shared data model and workflows.
• Spend real time with CISOs, SOC managers, and analysts to validate direction.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, and technology partners on positioning, packaging, and launch.
• Grow the team by hiring and mentoring PMs as areas are funded.
• Represent Cribl security externally at customers, analysts, and events.
