Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a Project Manager to oversee expansion and renovation initiatives across the GGW market. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure scope, cost, and schedule targets are met, while maintaining brand and operational standards.

The role requires travel within the Washington DC metro area, a strong track record in facility buildouts, and proficient use of Microsoft Project and the Microsoft 365 suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution in Project Management, Real Estate Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of hands‑on experience with project managing new facility buildouts or renovations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with landlords, general contractors, and others.
• Experience creating and managing large operating and capital budgets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Highly skilled with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Project or similar PM tools.
• Proven ability to travel to any location within the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential new retail locations; conduct site surveys and review with leaders.
• Develop and maintain detailed work letters and specs for LOI processes.
• Understand lease terms and negotiate tenant improvements with leadership & GC partners.
• Plan and execute detailed build-out projects; coordinate internal/external resources.
• Lead multi-year renovation plans; manage scope, schedule and budget targets.
• Oversee capital projects across locations to support operations.
• Report project status to senior leadership regularly.
• Supervise Assistant Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
