Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking an experienced retail inventory supervisor to lead a donation processing team in a dynamic store environment. You will direct staff, ensure smooth production, and uphold our community mission while driving performance.

You will supervise donation attendants and processors, maintain safety standards, deliver excellent donor service, and contribute to staffing decisions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read and comprehend internal documents related to store operations.
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures a smooth production process for all donation functions, inventory, control, and adherence to the agency’s production procedures and core value pledge for processors and donation.
• Fulfills the duties of all production staff to provide excellent customer service to donors, greet donors and unload donations safely, complete donor receipts, and sort and process items into designated categories; maintain production levels and merchandise quality for the sales floor.
• Assists in enforcing store safety and security procedures.
• Assists in settling complaints.
• Provides input for associate interviews and performance evaluations.
