Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking an experienced retail leader to captain a team in Arlington, ensuring exceptional service to donors and shoppers while optimizing inventory and merchandising standards. The role emphasizes coaching direct reports, safety, and adherence to company policies.

You will manage a multi-faceted operation, drive results, and collaborate across departments to support community programs and revenue generation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams or service-oriented staff.
• Strong English communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage inventory and donations processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and train direct reports within the business unit.
• Maintain exceptional customer service for donors, shoppers, and partners.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure merchandise quality on the sales floor.
• Oversee donations flow, safety, and compliance with policies.
• Perform bookkeeping, timekeeping, and reporting tasks.
• Communicate effectively via email, phone, and face-to-face.
• Enforce presentation and merchandising standards on the sales floor.
• Maintain a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Participate in special projects and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
