Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a facilities supervisor to manage cleaning, sanitation, and order at contract locations. You will ensure adherence to safety standards and GGW values while coordinating staff across shifts.

You will monitor supplies and budgets, perform site inspections with quality control, and train custodial teams to deliver clean, safe environments for clients and employees. This role also involves supervising diverse staff and ensuring adherence to GGW policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; plus at least three years in janitorial work.
• If formal education requirements are not met, seven years of related specialized experience may be considered in lieu.
• Knowledge of building services contracting and sanitation principles.
• Ability to read and write in English; supervise groups including disabled workers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning functions for assigned buildings and shifts with daily follow-up.
• Schedule staff and work assignments; complete and submit paperwork.
• Manage supply budgets and inventory levels; ensure safe, clean job sites.
• Work with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Supervise assistant project manager and custodial supervisors where applicable.
• Attend management trainings and monthly manager meetings.
