Job summary

GSK in the United States seeks a Director, R&D AI & Technology Transformation to steer the diagnosis and delivery of R&D data foundations across seven core elements. You will map end-to-end data journeys, identify systemic pain points, and translate findings into prioritized interventions with clear business cases.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading data strategy or R&D digital transformation in pharma.
• Proven ability to map data journeys and translate findings into actions.
• Track record delivering strategy from design to implementation.
• Experience designing workshops that align senior stakeholders and SMEs.
• Experience building change plans with stakeholder engagement and comms.
• Strong analytical skills for cross-functional problem solving.
• Ability to articulate impact, effort and feasibility in business cases.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts in R&D data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive diagnostics of R&D data journeys from question to data-driven decision.
• Identify pain points across seven data elements and synthesize enterprise gaps.
• Engage 50+ SMEs and cross-functional teams to ground findings in user experience.
• Define a future-state ambition and align stakeholders on interventions.
• Develop and prioritize interventions with clear impact and feasibility.
• Build business cases for prioritized interventions with costs and benefits.
• Report progress at leadership level and secure roadmap endorsement.
• Take ownership of end-to-end implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Establish workstreams, governance and ownership for moving initiatives forward.
• Identify opportunities to leverage existing platforms vs. new capabilities.
