Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks an Associate Director, Project Engineering to lead the Project Engineering team at the CMC Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, CA. The group will manage capital, infrastructure, and engineering projects to advance process capabilities and deliver engine components for ground test and flight.

The role includes recruiting, training, and retaining engineering talent; reporting to the site General Manager and contributing to strategic priorities for the CMC

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 12+ years experience; or advanced degree with 10+ years.
• Expertise with common commercial scheduling software.
• U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of site projects (schedule, cost, technical performance).
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements and budgets.
• Support, build and develop team of product engineers at the CoE.
• Align and integrate CoE site strategy with P&W global site strategy.
• Develop strategy for a collaborative work environment; engage discipline Chiefs and leaders.
• Own processes for capacity assessment & planning for the CoE.
• Lead site procurement activities and sourcing agreements.
• Lead Digital Transformation professionals on the site and guide cross-functional coordination.
