Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead an Integrated Product Team responsible for design, validation, production, and field sustainment across aerospace programs.

You will direct cross‑functional engineering activities, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure risk closure and alignment with program requirements. A CAM mindset with Agile familiarity is a plus for this hybrid role in the United States.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with advanced degree.
• 5 years of project management experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPT activities across design, structural analysis, durability, aero, materials, and manufacturing engineering.
• Drive technical execution and program performance, including risk management and reviews.
• Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and technical metrics with CIPT.
• Serve as part-level owner, accountable for communication and risk closure.
• Coordinate engineering design updates (Class I & II Engineering Changes).
• Oversee development and sustainment activities like supplier reviews, engine build-test-teardown, and field inquiries.
