Job summary

RTX’s Center of Excellence in Carlsbad seeks an Associate Director, Project Engineering to lead a team of project engineers and manage capital, infrastructure, and engineering initiatives. You’ll recruit, train, and develop talent while aligning site strategy with RTX’s global plan.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling expertise, plus experience with ISO/AS9100 quality frameworks and Six Sigma tools. Onsite work in Carlsbad with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• ABET accreditation is required for engineering programs.
• U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site projects including capital, infrastructure and engineering initiatives.
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource needs and budgets for the site.
• Mentor and develop a team of product engineers at the Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Coordinate CoE site strategy with the global P&W site plan.
• Oversee capacity assessment and planning for the CoE and drive cross-functional execution.
