Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Director, Preconstruction to own and manage the core preconstruction functions for data center development. The role leads a team, develops budgets and schedules, analyzes data, and collaborates with project stakeholders to drive efficient, cost-effective outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in preconstruction, strong leadership, and data center or mission-critical facility experience, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Preconstruction.
• Experience leading multiple projects in the preconstruction phase.
• Preferred: 5+ years in data centers or mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small Preconstruction team of analysts and managers.
• Evaluate and analyze data center development projects during the preconstruction phase.
• Create and maintain conceptual budgets and schedules from schematic/feasibility documents.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify savings.
• Maintain budgets and develop variance summaries with explanations to stakeholders.
• Analyze construction documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop strategies, manage risks, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input to teams.
• Build relationships with general contractors and design partners.
• Work with Finance to develop financial models.
• Lead process improvement initiatives across the department.
