Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Charlotte, NC seeks a Director to lead Finance Transformation engagements within its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) CFO Services practice. You will guide engagements, design future-state finance operating models, and partner with CFOs to drive cost reductions and efficiency gains.

You will oversee multi-workstream teams, develop roadmaps and business cases, and advance automation, R2R/O2C/P2P, FP&A, and management reporting improvements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in Finance Transformation.
• Strong ability to lead multi-workstream engagements.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance Transformation engagements and workstreams focused on improving finance function performance, reducing costs, enhancing service delivery, and driving operational efficiency.
• Assess current-state finance organizations, processes, systems, and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement future-state finance operating models, organizational structures, and transformation initiatives.
• Lead initiatives involving finance process optimization, automation, digitization, financial close improvement, and management reporting enhancement.
• Develop actionable transformation roadmaps, business cases, financial analyses, and implementation plans.
• Lead Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) initiatives, including feasibility assessments, operating model design, implementation, and optimization.
• Develop high-quality client deliverables, facilitate alignment with senior stakeholders, and drive adoption of recommended solutions.
• Manage engagement execution, deliverable quality, project timelines, and workstream coordination.
