Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Director of Patient Access to lead on-site teams across our hospital and market footprint, directing patient access functions, operations and compliance.

This role requires weekly travel, a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of leadership and patient access experience, and a proven track record of improving processes. Proficiency with EPIC and AI-enabled workflow enhancements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in healthcare operations.
• 3+ years of Patient Access experience; preferably within a hospital.
• Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment.
• Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI.
• Work experience with EPIC is preferred
• Demonstrated use of KPIs to drive and track team performance
• Financial and project management experience required
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
• Able to travel weekly to various sites within our client footprint

Responsibilities

• Provides vision, leadership and operational oversight for on-site Patient Access staff within a specific hospital or market.
• Will provide direction to all admitting and registration teams across all entry points.
• Establishes positive, collaborative relationships with operational leaders at these sites or markets.
• Organizes functions with clear accountabilities and cross-training where needed.
• Develops and maintains a visible, high-performing team with coaching and performance management.
• Negotiates and recruits cross-training as necessary and promotes team-building relationships.
• Implements a clear internal communication strategy to engage employees and promote shared understanding.
• Manages staffing levels, compensation and recruitment; oversees budgeting.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested.
• Must be able to travel every week.
