Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Director of Patient Access for multi-site operations in the Boston metro area. This on-site leadership role oversees Registration, Scheduling, ED admissions, and Outpatient access, driving performance and revenue-cycle excellence.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, budgeting, ensuring data accuracy, and collaboration with hospital leadership and Revenue Cycle partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; business or health administration preferred.
• 5–8 years related work experience; 1–3 years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to position; Meditech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient access operations across Registration, Scheduling, ED admissions and Outpatient areas.
• Hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and terminate staff per policy; monitor productivity and quality.
• Manage department budget, capital calculations, and salaries; ensure data accuracy in patient access systems.
• Collaborate with hospital leaders, Financial Clearance, Financial Counseling, and Revenue Cycle partners.
